A quick overview of how we got to October 2023: We registered Tetrim Teas in January 2021, and were fortunate to receive early Decarbonisation funding from the Welsh Government to research ingredients and select locally sourced plants with health benefits (to keep our ‘food miles’ low and to keep profit in the pockets of local growers). After years of research, clinical trials, developing the business and the brand (thanks to Kutchibok), supported by many individuals and organisations (some of which are mentioned below); we finally started selling our first blend: Rhubarb Root Tea, at the end of August 2023.
Now we are up and running, we have also set up a local tea club called Tŷ Te Trimsaran (thanks to funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund). Pop along to Trimsaran Community Centre any Thursday (1-3pm) for some rhubarb tea and a chance to chat or practice your Welsh. And we have recently started selling at local markets and booked several Christmas Fairs. We are also developing the next health blend which will be a Lion’s Mane Mushroom tea; which is linked to improved memory, depression, mental health and even dementia. It’s great to finally be out and about, we love getting your feedback on the tea. Diolch yn fawr iawn!
